Privacy policy
Privacy policy.
The short version: Knee Down doesn’t collect your personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your progress stays on your device.
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy covers the Knee Down game for Mac, iPad and Apple Vision Pro (the “game”) and this website, both operated by Another One LLC (“we”, “us”).
What we collect
Nothing. The game has no analytics or telemetry SDKs, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no accounts, and it doesn’t send anything to servers run by us. We never see who you are, how you play or where you are.
What stays on your device
- Game progress — tokens, Rider Level, owned bikes and riders, upgrades, medals, personal bests, ghost laps and your riding streak — is saved in the app’s own storage on your device.
- Settings — controls, assists, camera, audio, comfort options and your online display name.
- This data is included in your device backups (e.g. iCloud Backup, managed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy). Deleting the app deletes it.
Device permissions
- Motion (iPad): if you use tilt-to-lean, the game reads the iPad’s motion sensors to steer. Motion data is used live on the device and never stored or shared.
- Photos (add-only): when you tap Save to Photos in photo mode, the game asks for permission to add the picture to your library. It can’t see, read or change anything already in your library.
- Local network: only when you host or join a ride on the same network. The game advertises and finds nearby sessions with Bonjour and exchanges riding data directly between devices on your network.
- Game controllers: button and stick input is used to play and isn’t stored.
You can change any of these in your device’s Settings at any time.
Online play
Online track days are optional. When you ride online, the game exchanges gameplay data with the other riders in your session: your display name, the bike, rider and livery you chose, your position and riding data (speed, lean, lap and sector times) and emotes. It goes directly between players’ devices or through Apple’s services — never through servers run by us — and isn’t stored after the session, except that the game may remember lap times on your own device.
- Game Center (Apple) signs you in and matches you with friends. Game Center shows your Game Center nickname to the players you ride with and handles invitations. Apple’s handling of that data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, and you can manage it in your device’s Game Center settings.
- SharePlay (Apple) lets you ride together during a FaceTime call; session data flows through Apple’s SharePlay service.
- Local network sessions show the display name you set in the game to other riders on the same network.
Purchases
If you buy anything for the game, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details; Apple tells the game only which items you own, so it can unlock them on your devices.
Sharing photos
Photos you take in photo mode are created on your device. They leave it only if you choose to share or save them, using the system share sheet.
Analytics and diagnostics
The game has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs and sends no gameplay data to us. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple gives us aggregated, anonymous statistics such as downloads, sessions, retention, crash reports and performance measurements like launch time. Apple applies its own privacy protections before we see them, and we can’t identify you from them.
The game also reads the same anonymous performance reports on your device (Apple’s MetricKit) to log performance problems locally. Those reports never leave your device unless you choose to send them to us yourself.
If you turn on Game Center, your best lap times and achievements may be posted to Game Center leaderboards and achievements, run by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Apple shows them to other players according to your Game Center settings. Purchases are handled by Apple; we receive only the anonymous sales reports Apple provides to every developer.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. It remembers your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure, as described in Google’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and keep the conversation, and delete it on request.
Children
Knee Down is suitable for all ages and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Online play uses Apple’s Game Center, whose features parents can manage with Screen Time.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold personal data about you, there’s nothing for us to access, export or delete. To remove your game data, delete the app. If you have questions or want to exercise any rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, email support@playkneedown.com.
Changes
If the game ever starts collecting data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships. The date at the top shows the latest change.
